Accelerating community-led conservation impact across Africa

The Vuma Conservation Fund is a new $65 million pooled fund built by and for African conservation organizations, designed to unlock climate resilience, biodiversity protection, and stronger livelihoods by providing multi-year, unrestricted funding aligned to local partners’ own strategies, alongside built-in organisational development support.
The model is intentionally high-efficiency for funders: one vehicle, multiple, field-shaping outcomes - backing local institutions (not fragmented projects), with clear accountability and low transaction costs, and a mutually reinforcing portfolio that multiplies impact.
